MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT

There's place in St. Louis called The Boathouse that we love. They have beautiful flowers out front and it's right in the middle of Forest Park. You can sit outside by the lake and eat amazing food. Plus, they allow dogs! We haven't taken Buck yet...he still needs a little training before we risk it! There are tons of other restaurants in STL we want to try, but I keep wanting to go back to The Boathouse so it's going to be a long process!

FASHION DIVA!

Our friends and family have been so generous in loaning and giving us baby clothes (THANK YOU!) that we've only had to spend $15 of our own money on Halle's clothes!!! Here are photos of her showing off some of my favorite pieces. The light pink hat comes with a cute dress, but, as everyone knows, sometimes babies are just cuter naked!And, yes, we finally caught her little toothless smile on camera :) Isn't there something indescribably sweet about a toothless smile!?

A LITTLE PHOTO SHOOT

Anyone who becomes a parent also becomes a photographer - how can anyone resist those sweet little moments?! Halle's not quite sure about the camera and neither is Buck, but we're persistent...

PRETTY IN PINK

These are the diapers we've been using - by Bum Genius - cute name, huh?! They're so easy to deal with, plus they're oh so photogenic! We got amazing deals on them so we'll save TONS of money on diapers before we potty-train her next month (just kidding - if only that would work!).

WHERE'S THAT SMILE?

She started smiling consistently at about 7 weeks, but we can't seem to catch it on camera! Every time we get out the camera, it goes back into hiding! But one thing she's got going for her is ...she doesn't need to smile to be cute.

We made the leap--we bought a video camera! So, from time to time we'll post videos on here--enjoy!

She li'l as a dog!

Kristin brought food for our team Bible study this past Thursday. I sent several players out to get it from her. They took forever to come back, and I couldn't figure out what was going on. Then it hit me--they were meeting Halle! I was actually a little sad, because I wasn't there to see their reaction. But, as is typical, they weren't short of words and told me all their thoughts. "She cute Coach", one said. A few other comments and then, "She li'l as a dog though, forreal". We all laughed pretty hard, as we got the point but the slang wasn't really a good fit for the situation. Needless to say, this was the first of what we hope will be an enduring relationship between Halle and our students.
