OUR LAKE VACATION!

We are beach-lovers, so living in the Midwest makes vacation a little tricky! But we have visited Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri twice now, and, while it's not the REAL beach, it's not a bad spot for a getaway! We got Halle some sunglasses, called "Wee Shades" to protect her eyes (although she can't be in the sun really until 6 months). Besides being protective and smart, we also think they're pretty cute. She got to take her first swim and seemed to enjoy playing in such a giant bathtub! 

One restaurant we love at Lake of the Ozarks is called Dog Days. Last year we took a picture in this same spot, but it was just the two of us. This year we got to take another picture, with a new little addition...what a joy! Sad Buck couldn't join us, but he was taking his own vacation at the luxury "Country Estate Kennel" back home :) Oh and by the way, my sunburn wasn't nearly as bad as it looks in the picture! (Although I know any sunburn is bad these days - more sunscreen next time).

MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT

There's place in St. Louis called The Boathouse that we love. They have beautiful flowers out front and it's right in the middle of Forest Park. You can sit outside by the lake and eat amazing food. Plus, they allow dogs! We haven't taken Buck yet...he still needs a little training before we risk it! There are tons of other restaurants in STL we want to try, but I keep wanting to go back to The Boathouse so it's going to be a long process!

FASHION DIVA!

Our friends and family have been so generous in loaning and giving us baby clothes (THANK YOU!) that we've only had to spend $15 of our own money on Halle's clothes!!! Here are photos of her showing off some of my favorite pieces. The light pink hat comes with a cute dress, but, as everyone knows, sometimes babies are just cuter naked!And, yes, we finally caught her little toothless smile on camera :) Isn't there something indescribably sweet about a toothless smile!?

Anyone who becomes a parent also becomes a photographer - how can anyone resist those sweet little moments?! Halle's not quite sure about the camera and neither is Buck, but we're persistent...

PRETTY IN PINK

These are the diapers we've been using - by Bum Genius - cute name, huh?! They're so easy to deal with, plus they're oh so photogenic! We got amazing deals on them so we'll save TONS of money on diapers before we potty-train her next month (just kidding - if only that would work!).
